Imperial Tobacco Ukraine Made Donation to Maksym Rylskyi Museum

Within the framework of the long-term social program “Kyiv Is Our City”, Imperial Tobacco Ukraine jointly with the Association of Ukrainian Philanthropists made a donation to
the M.T. Rylskyi Literature and Memorial Museum of Kyiv.

During the traditional art celebration organized by the Museum, Holosiivska Osin – 2011, the donators presented a certificate for charity assistance for capital repairs of the heating system of the Maksym Rylskyi Museum of Kyiv.

Viktoria Kolesnyk, Director of the M.T. Rylskyi Literature and Memorial Museum of Kyiv: Our Museum is a place where tens of thousands of unique artifacts are preserved – paintings, publications, translations, and manuscripts by Maksym Rylskyi, as well as the legacy of other prominent figures in Ukrainian culture of the ХХ century. The Museum’s main task is to preserve and give these unique objects to the next generations of Kyivans, to save them from the influence of time. That’s why the assistance provided by the donators today is so important and relevant for our institution.”

Yurii Kishko, Corporate Director of Imperial Tobacco Ukraine: We believe one of the main tasks of our company is participation in community development and social investments in the locations where we operate. Kyiv Tobacco Factory has a 150-year-old history related to Kyiv. We love our city, we are proud of its long history and its prominent citizens, and we want it to become more beautiful and comfortable. The Maksym Rylskyi Museum is a real corner of art in contemporary Kyiv; such significant cultural objects require support from socially responsible businesses.”

The program “Kyiv Is Our City” is a long-term program of corporate social responsibility implemented by Imperial Tobacco Ukraine jointly with the Association of Ukrainian Philanthropists dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Kyiv Tobacco Factory. The program is aimed at supporting and developing the cultural heritage, the natural and recreational wealth, and landmarks of Kyiv, as well as providing assistance to sites known the world over in the Ukrainian capital.
