Imperial Tobacco has presented the first in Ukraine cigarettes with a menthol capsule in the middle price segment

In June 2013, Imperial Tobacco Ukraine presented Prima Lux Duo - the first cigarettes with a menthol capsule in the middle price segment.

Prima Lux Duois the first product with the menthol capsule in the middle price segment because the offers existing in the market are presented only in the lines of premium brands. The new offer of Imperial Tobacco has been presented in the King Size format with the tar and nicotine content of 6/0.5 mg. The maximum retail price of the Prima Lux Duo pack of cigarettes will be 10 hryvnias.

The main feature of the new product is the capsule with menthol located inside the filter. Thanks to it, smokers can regulate the taste of the cigarette during smoking, choosing either classical tobacco or menthol taste. The experts of the company note a high potential of the duo segment: having appeared in the market for the first time in August 2010, today it has already been presented by three brands – Kent Iswitch KS (0.3 per cent), Marlboro Blue Ice KS (0.06 per cent), Winston Cool Xspression QS (0.05 per cent). On the whole, the segment of the cigarettes with menthol capsules occupies 0.41 per cent of the market and it continues to demonstrate a trend of growth.
